President Brigham Young clearly explained the difference between the Church and the Kingdom of God in his speaking to the people on August 9th, 1874 at Lehi, Utah:
“Here is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, organized with its rules, regulations and degrees... This is what we are in the habit of calling the Kingdom of God. But there are further organizations. This Kingdom is the kingdom that Daniel spoke of, which was to be set up in the last days; it is the Kingdom that is not to be given to another people; it is the Kingdom that is to be held by the servants of God, to rule the nations of the earth.... Can you understand me? This Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is organized for the building up of this church alone; it is NOT for the building up of Catholicism, it is not for promoting any or all of the dissidents from the Mother church, it is alone for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and for no other body.... But the Kingdom of God, when it is established and bears rule, will defend the Methodists in their rights just as much as Latter-day Saints, but it will not allow them to infringe upon the rights of their neighbors; this will be prohibited... But the Kingdom of God, when it is set upon the earth, will be after the pattern of heaven, and will compel no man nor woman to go contrary to his or her conscience." (Journal of Discourses 17:156-7)

The LDS Mormons, have their religion because of Joseph Smith and what he revealed. So what he says about the Kingdom is important. Joseph Smith said the KINGDOM is NOT the Church and always remember that.

           “Value of Chastisement

President Joseph arose and said: “Brother Kimball has given you a true explanation of the parable,” and then read the parable of the vine and its branches, and explained it, and said, “If we keep the commandments of God, we should bring forth fruit and be the friends of God, and know what our Lord did. “Some people say I am a fallen Prophet, because I do not bring forth more of the word of the Lord, Why do I not do it? Are we able to receive it? No! Not one in this room. He then chastened the congregation for their wickedness and unbelief, ‘for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son and daughter whom he receiveth,’ and if we do not receive chastisements then we are bastards and not sons." 
On the subject of revelation, he said, a man would command his sons to dig potatoes and saddle his horse, but before he had done either he would tell him to do something else. This is all considered right; but as soon as the Lord gives a commandment and revokes that decree and commands something else, then the Prophet is considered fallen.
Because we will not receive chastisement at the hands of the Prophets and Apostles, the Lord chastiseth us with sickness and death.
Let not any man publish his own righteousness, for others can see that for him; sooner let him confess his sins, and then he will be forgiven, and he will bring forth more fruit.

 When a corrupt man is chastised he gets angry and will not endure it. 
The reason we do not have the secrets of the Lord revealed unto us, is because we do not keep them but reveal them; we do not keep our own secrets, but reveal our difficulties to the world, even to our enemies, then how would we keep the secrets of the Lord? I can keep a secret till Doomsday. What greater love hath any man than that he lay down his life for his friend; then why not fight for our friend until we die?” (December 19, 1841.) “23 Verily, verily, I say unto you, darkness covereth the earth, and gross darkness the minds of the people, and all flesh has become corrupt before my face.

  “5 But behold, verily I say unto you, that there are many who have been ordained among you, whom I have called but few of them are chosen.
 6 They who are not chosen have sinned a very grievous sin, in that they are walking in darkness at noon-day.”  Doctrine & Covenants 95:5-6

WHY have no Revelations been written to the LDS Church since 1889?
For 127 years of leaders WHO CLAIM AUTHORITY without the words from God, or warnings to the people about what will happen when millions of their members are killed. Does God really care at all about the LDS members and their kids killed? Really think about that, does God care at all?

I can think of whole Quorums in the LDS Church sustained as Prophets, Seers, Revelators, twice each year in LDS Conference that none of hundreds have ever have had a Prophecy, Vision, or Revelation from God for the LDS members since 1889.
