What went Wrong? For September 2000 The Mormons have had a subtle (sometimes NOT so subtle) doctrine of follow the prophet. Even their General Authorities often say to follow the prophet in their Conference talks. So what went wrong? AND when did it go wrong? That is the question, so now we shall look at some answers. The Bible that people "say" that they believe tells us: " NOW the Spirit speaketh expressly , that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. "1 Timothy 4:1-7 What did you just read? That in these LATTER TIMES there will be some people who will Apostatize, (depart) from the faith. Webster's Dictionary tells us: "Apostasy = an abandoning of what one believed in, as a faith, etc."Plural Marriage, or what is called Polygamy was what the Mormons were famous for. They were notorious for many wives. About 110 years ago their Church made an agreement with the United States Government to abandon plural marriage in 1890, which they did.Now today they forbid several good honorable women the chance to marry the man that they desire. Either some woman has to wait till hell freezes over, (never) or she takes whatever comes along (whoever will ask her.)Often she traps the man with her sex, and the announcement that she is pregnant. So he has to do the right thing. When the passion is gone, divorce is the result. Now you know that I have spoken the truth, so what is next? The Mormon Church Forbids to marry as they once did, they have apostatized (departed) from what they once believed as part of their faith. The Baptist's didn't, the Lutheran's didn't, the Catholic's didn't, BUT the Mormons did believe in polygamy. Now they have departed from the faith, (they once had) and these are the latter times. The next point! And I will give you the references so you can look them up on the pages I "quote" from. The Mormons always get into questions about "Keys." For over the past 110+ years they haven't had the true knowledge of what the "Keys" really are. They play follow the leader, or follow the prophet. See Matthew 5:20 Wilford Woodruff, the President of the LDS Church WHO made the agreement with the US Government back in 1890 to give up polygamy, tells us he held the keys "a little while." SO, I will "quote" him: : "When the Prophet Joseph was taken away, (killed) President Young occupied this place. He held the "keys" of the kingdom of God. It was for him to have association with God the Father, AND with his son Jesus Christ, AND to lead Israel. After his death , Brother Taylor took his place; AND when he passed away, it fell upon me, FOR a little while." Wilford Woodruff, page 594 of Volume 52 of Millennial Star. April 7, 1889 At General Conference he said: "The Almighty will never permit me, nor any other President WHO holds the keys of the Kingdom of God, TO lead you astray. Without that priesthood we have no power to administer in the ordinances of the Gospel of Christ, either for the living or the dead."Desert News Weekly 38: 513-516 Again he said: "Joseph Smith continued visiting myself AND others up to a certain time, AND then it stopped." Spoken at the Weber Stake Conference, October 19, 1896; and quoted in Temples of the Most High page 321 He says himself that he did not hold them until his death to be passed on down to others. He said, he held them "for a little while." The Prophet Joseph Smith had said: "Brethren, I have desired to live to see this (Nauvoo 1844) Temple built. I shall never live to see it. I have sealed upon you every key,..the kingdom rests upon you. If you do not do it you will be damned." I (Wilford Woodruff) am the last man living (1889) who heard that declaration. Here it, ye Israel, no man who has ever breathed the breath of life can hold these keys of the Kingdom of God and lead the people astray." June 2, 1889 Contributor 10:380-384Joseph Smith understood that according to Daniel 8 and 9, that he only had days to live, 1844 was his year. I will explain more in a flyer in the future, just for now read this about Joseph's lifetime. They wanted me to make some concession to the court upon polygamy and other points, and I spent several hours alone and inquired of the Lord and received the following revelation, given to Wilford Woodruff, Sunday, November 24, 1889. About 10 months before the Manifesto."Thus saith the Lord, to my servant Wilford, I the Lord have heard thy prayers and thy request, and will answer thee by the voice of my spirit. Thus saith the Lord, unto my servants the Presidency of my Church, who hold the keys of the Kingdom of God on this earth. I the Lord hold the destiny of the courts in your midst, and the destiny of this nation, and all other nations of the earth in mine own hands, and all that I have revealed, and promised and decreed concerning the generation in which you live, shall come to pass, and no power shall stay my hand. Let NOT my servants who are called to the Presidency of my Church, deny my word OR my law, which concerns the salvation of the children of men. Let them pray for the Holy Spirit, which shall be given them to guide them in their acts. Place not yourselves in jeopardy to your enemies by promise. Your enemies seek the destruction of my people. If the saints will hearken unto my voice, and the counsel of my servants, the wicked shall not prevail." END "Quoting his Revelation" That is the 1st. 8 verses of the "1889 Revelation" given to Wilford Woodruff, as is found in the Brigham Young University Special Collections Library. They have 1/2 dozen revelations BEFORE this one, BUT none after. Because he had lost the keys of the Kingdom of God. Remember in 1896 he said he had the "keys, for a little while." It is also in the Mormon Church Historians Office, Salt Lake City in the Journal of Wilford Woodruff, entry for November 24, 1889 He lost the "keys," the people compromised polygamy, which Jesus said, was his word and law concerning the salvation of the children of men. I think that most people will not believe that until they see that the Mormons have no priesthood, and can't even save their own people.Brigham Young tells when the Mormon Church would lose the whole entire "Priesthood." CLICK HERE to read that. http://www.parowanprophet.com/Monthly_Flyer/ flyer_of_the_month.htm So following the prophet Brigham Young's words above and commands leaves the Mormon's today in a terrible mess with no valid sealings, baptisms, endowments, in fact they just have the social gunk for this earth.Nothing more. That is exactly what their very own leaders and prophets have said in the past. The ones they did NOT follow. If the doctrine of follow the prophet was true, then why did they get off of the track and begin to do other things? Why didn't they continue to follow the founder of their church, Joseph Smith? Or Brigham Young, who knew Joseph very well. Or John Taylor who also understood the doctrine Joseph had established. Those men did follow the Prophet before them. But remember that Wilford Woodruff HAD said, that he gave up the "keys" and only held them "for a little while," HE SAID HIMSELF BEFORE HIS DEATH that he had lost them. His own words not mine. Since that time the keys have been somewhere else than the President of the Mormon Church. Things are all out of order. We read that God told the founder Joseph Smith that this would and what his task would be: "16 And this shall be your business and mission in all your lives, to preside in council, and set in order all the affairs of this church and kingdom." Doctrine and Covenants 90:16 Now today the Church and Kingdom are not united, and things are out of order, so Joseph will have to set them back into order. The Kingdom is not the Church, their people would understand, if they had followed the prophets' words. But cunning men have sneaked into the Church. "The adversary will not leave us alone. The direst persecutions we ever had
to suffer, occurred before the doctrine of polygamy was taught or believed in. There
is nothing short of complete apostasy,
a complete denial of every principle we have received, a
throwing away of the Holy Priesthood, that
can save us from persecution. WHEN
this takes place, WHEN
all the chief features of the Gospel are obliterated, WHEN
we can float along the stream and do as the world does, THEN
and not till then will persecution cease, OR until the
adversary is bound, for the day will come when Satan will be
bound." Spoken May 15, 1881
by George Q Cannon, As recorded in The Journal of
Discourses 22: 374 Are you like the dozen people on the OJ Simpson jury? Because facts don't matter, because you have your traditions already? Brigham Young said: "In the midst of all that we hear from this stand with regard to counsel and implicit obedience to counsel, you and I must have the testimony of Jesus within us, or it is of little use for us to pretend to be servants of God. We must have the living witness within us. We need the light of the Holy Spirit continually, day by day, as you have been told hundreds of times. HOW EASY it would be for your leaders TO lead you to destruction, unless you actually know the mind and will of the Spirit yourselves. That is your privilege." Brigham Young. June 28, 1857 Journal of Discourses 4: 368 Again he said: "How many hundreds of times have you been taught that IF people neglect their prayers AND other duties, THAT they quickly begin to love the world, become vain in their imaginations, AND liable to go astray, loving all the day long to do those things that the Lord hates, AND leaving undone those things that the Lord requires at their hands? WHEN people neglect their private duties, should their leaders lead them astray, they will go blindfolded, WILL be subject to the devil, AND be led captive at his will. How useless this would be!" JD 4:298Again back in 1864 he said when the Judgments of God would come. "There is one principle I would like to have the Latter-day Saints perfectly understand-- that is, of blessings AND cursings. For instance, we read that war, pestilence, plague, famine, etc., will be visited upon the inhabitants of the earth; BUT if distress through the judgments of God comes upon this people, IT WILL BE BECAUSE the majority have turned away from the Lord. Let the majority of the people turn away from the Holy Commandments which the Lord has delivered to us, AND cease to hold the balance of power in the Church, AND WE MAY EXPECT THE JUDGMENTS OF GOD TO COME UPON US." Journal of Discourses 10: 335 Brigham Young, foretold 136 years ago. Hear what a prophet said: "IF the Spirit of God whispers this to His people through their leader, AND they will NOT listen OR obey, what will be the consequence of their disobedience? Darkness AND blindness of mind with regard to the things of God will be their lot; they will cease to have the spirit off prayer, AND the spirit of the world will increase in them in proportion to their disobedience UNTIL they apostatize entirely from God and His ways." Brigham Young, said in 1867; The Journal of Discourses 12: 117 (26 Volumes of great stuff) "Men AND women for slight cause make shipwreck of faith, lose the spirit of the Gospel. Let not the Latter-day Saints deceive themselves, let them NOT pursue a course that will bring sorrow to their hearts instead of joy and peace. Let them NOT flatter themselves that they will receive salvation in the kingdom of God WHILE living in neglect of their duties. UNLESS WE live our religion AND sanctify ourselves BY THE LAW OF GOD, WE flatter ourselves in vain that we shall be made instrumental in the hands of God in preparing the way for the coming of the Son of Man, for the redemption of Zion according to the words of the prophets, for the redemption of the earth. Let us ask ourselves the question, am I a wheat OR a tare? The PROOF as to whether we are tares OR wheat may be seen in our lives; as it is written-- This is the proof--keep the commandments, observe the ordinances, and preserve the institutions of Christ's Church inviolate, doing ALL THINGS required of us." Journal of Discourses 12:168 Brigham Young. ANYONE, who wants to win the race, has to obey ALL of the training instructions. Nobody who makes his or her own rules can win the game."Be ye therefore perfect" requires a lot of training. Not just to sit on your butt and make no effort to learn. Jesus showed us the way, he said, "follow me" and he really meant it. All you have to ask yourself is the question "Is the eternal blessing of God worth the effort." Jesus said: "and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14 "Do you think that this people called Latter-day Saints are traveling in the path that they should go in? Do you think that they offer their oblations and sacrifices to the Lord as they should? What do you think about it? What is the general expression through our community? IT IS THAT the Latter-day Saints ARE drifting as fast as they can into idolatry, drifting into the spirit of the world AND into pride and vanity." Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses 18:239 That is why millions of Mormon's have become Tares to be burned with the rest of the world, as I have said many times. God has forsaken their leaders, their Temples will be burned, and millions feel the fires of hell. I have explained before why so many have taken the mark of the beast as foretold in Revelations 13; in my slides and 2-hour lectures. I just can't explain it on a flyer that can be read in 10 minutes. You have to be taught how to get revelation from God yourself or nobody can understand it. Because the answer comes from God, in the meetings to some people. Others never understand. That is why Jesus spoke in so many parables. He said that he didn't want some to understand as he said in: Matthew 13:13 "Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."When those nuclear missiles begin to hit near Christmas time, then people will understand Revelation 14:7 "Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come." Your traditions sure don't say to leave anyone un-converted and un-healed. Read Matthew 13; very carefully. 3160 words |
