"ALL IS WELL"

    (The Point of No Return) "April 10, 1982"

I continually marvel at the way the Lord works to get things done. Our ducks quacking awakened me at 3:00 A.M. this morning. I got up and dressed, and took them out to the farm three miles away.
As I drove home I asked the Lord what it was all about. If he had something to say, or to impress upon me, why wake me up; why not have it come in a dream of the night, like many others?

As I sat down here in my study at home, I picked up the paper and began to look at the Sunday church supplement. For LDS Conference. 

"SALT LAKE CITY - UPI - Physically weak and ailing but still spiritually strong, PRESIDENT SPENCER W. KIMBALL made a surprise appearance at the podium Sunday to speak at the close of the 152nd semi-annual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TELLING the GATHERING "All IS WELL." ("ALL IS WELL")

"CHAPTER 28"

Nephi's predictions continued - LATTER-DAY CHURCHES and conditions-" (Preface chapter 28) 2550 years ago Nephi said:

"Yea, they have ALL gone out of the way; THEY HAVE BECOME CORRUPTED, Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, They rob the poor because of their FINE SANCTUARIES (churches) They wear stiff necks and high heads; yea and because of pride, and wickedness . . . Wo unto them that turn aside (No, no, I don't want to see the Parowan Prophet Site) the just. . . and revile against that which is good, (TRUTH) and say that it is of no worth! (Throw it away). in that day that they are fully ripe in iniquity THEY SHALL PERISH. For THE KINGDOM of the devil MUST SHAKE... ("BOOM" - See Luke 4:5,6)

"For Behold, AT THAT DAY SHALL HE RAGE in the hearts of the children of man and stir them up to anger against that which is good. (understanding the scriptures) And others he will pacify,... THAT THEY SHALL SAY: ALL IS WELL (ALL IS WELL) in Zion; yea Zion prospereth, (we now have 5 million members) ALL IS WELL. "   2 Nephi 28:1l,12,13,I4,15,16,19,20,21,25)

We often hear people make the expression "The point of no return" or "The die is cast."

When people used to go over "Niagara Falls" in a barrel, there was a point in time, when the water current was so strong, that no matter how much effort you exerted, you were going over the edge of the falls,

Realize, that the momentum of "events in your life have brought you this far. Strong trends of home, family, school, job, etc. have changed the course of your life many times. Has the "Lord" done so bad thus far "when" you would listen to "the truth."

Like the "water current" STRONG TRENDS move us in a direction that we are bound to live. God gave us our intelligence to be able to choose right or wrong. To he able to understand the events in our lives; and, "change course (repentance) before we go over the edge. (Pass to the other side).

He has given us the directions, or course to follow, and all we have to do is understand how to read, and sometimes "paddle" like crazy, or we will go over the edge. (To our eternal regret)

   Alma said it so beautiful:

"And now, my brethren, (and sisters) I would that, AFTER YE HAVE RECEIVED SO MANY WITNESSES, seeing that THE HOLY SCRIPTURES testify of these things, ye come forth and bring fruit unto repentance. Yea, I would that ye would come forth AND HARDEN NOT YOUR HEARTS ANY LONGER.

For behold, THIS LIFE IS THE TIME FOR MEN TO PREPARE TO MEET GOD; YEA, behold THE DAY OF THIS LIFE is the day for men to perform their labors. I beseech of you that ye DO NOT PROCRASTINATE the day of your repentance UNTIL THE END. Ye cannot, say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, THAT I WILL RETURN TO MY GOD. NAY, ye cannot say this, FOR THAT SAME SPIRIT which doth possess your bodies AT THE TIME THAT YE GO OUT OF THIS LIFE, THAT SAME SPIRIT WILL HAVE POWER TO POSSESS YOU BODY IN THAT ETERNAL WORLD. For behold, if (IF) YE HAVE PROCRASTINATED that day of YOUR REPENTANCE (a change of course) EVEN UNTO DEATH, behold, YE HAVE be come subject to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you HIS; and the devil HATH ALL POWER OVER YOU; and this is the final state of the wicked. And THIS I KNOW, BECAUSE the Lord hath said HE DWELLETH NOT IN UNHOLY TEMPLES, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell…"    (Alma 34:30-36)

Each of us has a lot of choices to make each day. How do you "mark your course" for the day? Man's way OR God's instructions. I know it's scary, the Lord said through the Apostle Paul:

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed…WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH (WITH) FEAR AND TREMBLING." (Philippians 2:12)

Your intelligence allows you to choose; your "AGENCY" to obey the course written out for you, or "rebel" from the word of God, and go over the edge of the falls, (Forever)! We may come, and we may go, BUT! The word of the Lord shall not fail.

THE LORD:

"Seek ye the Lord WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND, call ye upon him WHILE HE IS NEAR. (Before "BOOM" "H" "BOMBS") Let the wicked forsake his way, . .and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; (and Return) TO OUR GOD, for he will abundantly pardon.

"FOR MY THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS NEITHER are YOUR WAYS MY WAYS, SAITH THE LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are MY WAYS higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. So shall MY Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: IT SHALL NOT RETURN UNTO ME VOID, but it shall accomplish that which I PLEASE."   (Isaiah 55:6-9, 10)

"Be not deceived, GOD IS NOT MOCKED: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap." (Galatians 6:7)

"Therefore ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so unto them: for this is the law and the prophets. Enter ye in at the strait gate (the gospel NEVER VARIES) for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, (So many go there) that leadeth to destruction, AND MANY THERE BE WHICH GO IN THEREAT; Because STRAIT (unchangeable) IS THE GATE, AND NARROW IS THE WAY, (few, travel there) which leadeth unto life, AND FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT." ( Matthew 7:12-14) Not many millions.

"THE PEACE OF HELL"

"But," says one, "when this present excitement passes over, (back in 1883) will we not have a time of peace?" "God forbid that there should be peace on such terms as our enemies would have us make; for PEACE MEANS SURRENDERING THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
"Men say, "Let us compromise." (Polygamy) This means the giving up of this principle and that principle for the sake of world's favor. AND WHEN WE COMMENCE GIVING UP, WHERE SHALL WE STOP? They can only kill this body of ours; BUT let us fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (1883. George Q Cannon, Journal of Discourses 24:376)

He said, "WHERE SHALL WE STOP ? - We have passed "the point of no return" IN June 1978 ! SO-O WE ARE GOING OVER THE FALLS. (Few will  survive.)

When Spencer W. Kimball announced the changes in the priesthood doctrine for the Church. Since that time the garments have changed, the Endowment has changed the washing and anointing has changed, the sealing has changed, so that nobody today is really sealed for eternity. And that will make some dumb people mad. They want to continue their fairy tale and do not love the truth. All this from an unchangeable God. The word of the Lord to me this morning:

"Thus saith the Lord, unto you my son, I desire to speak unto thee not in a dream; that ye may not weep as in times past. But I wish thee to know and understand the reasons for so many to be upon the earth claiming to he mine anointed. My church did shut the door on the Holy Priesthood when they embraced Cain. That apostasy did take them many years; and yet many that have left them in times past do not follow my teachings fully. They only look to someone else other than I. They embrace the doctrine of the Pharisees, also, The time is soon, that I will excommunicate those from mortality also; as their apostasy, to trust in a man has taken but a short time. Be patient, do what is right, and soon those left alive will know who has seen me, and is willing to obey my voice. Amen"

         I found the DEFINITION OF "PHARISEES," in my 4 in 1 "Bible" dictionary.

"Their belief included the doctrine of immortality and resurrection of the body, and the existance of angels and spirits. THEY UPHELD THE AUTHORITY OF ORAL (ORAL) tradition (FOLLOW THE PROPHET) as of equal with the written law THE TENDENCY OF THEIR TEACHING WAS TO REDUCE RELIGION to the observance of a multiplicity of ceremonial RULES.
(FOLLOW THE PROPHET, PAY YOUR TITHING, LIVE THE WORD OF WISDOM, KEEP THE FAST, ATTEND YOUR MEETINGS, BE ACTIVE, HAVE A RECOMMEND.
               Now! THAT IS "A PHARISEE," the Lord was right, again!

"The Gospel (GOOD NEWS) is a fountain of truth, AND TRUTH IS WHAT WE ARE AFTER.
We have embraced the truth NAMELY, THE GOSPEL OF THE SON OF GOD."

Perhaps you don't believe the true gospel (GOOD NEWS) of "THE KINGDOM OF GOD" You can change, you can try again, you can do it, Jesus paid for your mistakes, sins; believe in him, 
   "REPENTANCE, is what it is called.

Not just being sorry. Prisons are full of people who are sorry.
Repentance is to ('I'O) change your life while you have your agency to choose. Once you have started over the falls, AND waited too long, being sorry is too-o-o late for this life. And don't even think that God will not put you in a situation of NO Choice, because he will AND, you may have waited too long.

     By not making a decision to re-think (re-pent) you have already used your own agency.

  DON'T "PROCRASTINATE' THE DAY OF YOUR REPENTANCE.

   Don't plunge over the falls.

  Whatever your mortal sins or mistakes have been, BURY THEM, BE  BORN  AGAIN,

BE Baptized again, as Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, and thousands of others have been.

There is hope for you today, now! You haven't gone over the edge of the falls yet. You will have to "PADDLE" like crazy, but it can be done.

President John Taylor tells us: "It was necessary and proper that there should be good and evil light and darkness, sin and righteousness, one principle of right opposed to another of wrong, that man might have his free agency to receive the good and reject the evil. and by receiving THE GOOD (through "CHRIST") they might be saved (BE SAVED and EXALTED TO THE ETERNAL GODHEAD, and go back to their Father and God, While the disobedient would have to meet the consequences of their own acts."

"The world will not receive the Gospel unless they can have it on their own terms, AND will persecute the few that do receive it."  Brigham Young Journal of Discourses 9: 331  

   You cannot climb the mountain, UNLESS you start out of the valley.
