# 7    Calling and Election Sure    Something to consider, huh!
Now that you have read the first Six links, you will begin to understand the significance of what I show you from here on.

(Brigham Young, Manuscript History of Brigham Young,  Salt Lake City: LDS Church Archives.)
“The keys of endowments and plural marriage had been given, and some had received their Second Anointing. Baptism for the dead had been taught and the keys committed. All of these things I then comprehended, though in some I had not fully participated. These sacred principles were then committed to but a few, but not only were they committed to me from the first, but from the first I was authorized by the Prophet to teach them to others, when I was led to do so.
Benjamin F. Johnson, My Life's Review Independence, Mo.: Zion's Printing & Publishing Co., 1947, page 98.

“I was among the first to receive my washings and anointings, and even received my
second anointing, which made me an equal in the order of the Priesthood, with the right and authority to build up the kingdom in all the earth, and power to fill any vacancy that might occur.
I have officiated in all the different branches, from the highest to the lowest. There were about forty (40) men who attained to
that order in the Priesthood, (Nauvoo had 10,000 people) including the twelve Apostles and the first presidency, and to them was instructed the keeping of the records. I was the head clerk. Franklin D. Richards was my assistant clerk. My office was in room number one, at President Young's apartments. I kept a record of all the sealings, anointings, marriages and adoptions.” The Nauvoo Temple Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1962, page 78

“Temple ordinance history is traced in a controversial article, David John Buerger, "The Development of the Mormon Temple Endowment Ceremony," Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought # 20 (Winter 1987): 33-76. A related study is Buerger's "'The Fulness of the Priesthood': The Second Anointing in Latter-day Saint Theology and Practice," ibid., 16 (Spring 1983): 10-44. James B. Allen and Glen M. Leonard, The Story of the Latter-day Saints, 2nd ed., rev. and enl. Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1992, page 684

“ Endowments Given in Nauvoo by Joseph the Prophet: Joseph Smith, before his death, was much exercised about the completion of the Temple in Nauvoo, and the administering of ordinances therein. In his anxiety and for fear he should not live to see the Temple completed, he prepared a place over what was known as the brickstore—-which many of you who lived in Nauvoo will recollect—where to a chosen few he administered those ordinances that we now have today associated with Endowments, so that if anything should happen to him—which he evidently contemplated—he would feel that he had then fulfilled his mission, that he had conferred upon others all the keys given to him by the manifestations of the power of God.” President John Taylor,

Journal of Discourses Volume 25:183

Second Anointing Also Given by the Prophet. In the evening the best and indeed the crowning feature of the whole excursion was enjoyed. President Snow announced that the evening would be occupied by the Temple workers as a Testimony meeting, and it was so done. Most of the brethren workers bore strong and grateful testimonies, not only of their delight and joy in the work of the Temple, but testified also of their happiness and of their gratitude to the Saints in Box Elder Stake, who had made it possible for them to enjoy such a rare treat.
Three of the sisters, Sister Zina D. Young, who is the President of the sisters in the Temple, with Sister Bathsheba W. Smith and Minnie J. Snow, her two counselors, spoke briefly of their joy in the work.
Aunt Bathsheba mentioned the fact that she had received her blessings in Nauvoo under the hands of the Prophet Joseph Smith, she being now the only living woman who has received these blessings.”   Temples of the Most High Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1993, page 271

“There's Sister Bathsheba Smith; she and I both had our endowments under the hands of the Prophet Joseph Smith. I had my
second anointing and sealings under his hands. There is not a single principle in this Church that he did not lay the foundation for. He called the Twelve together the last time he spoke to us, and his face shone like amber. And upon our shoulders he rolled the burden of the Kingdom, and he gave us all the keys and powers and gifts to carry on this great and mighty work.” Temples of the Most High Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1993, page 271

“January 11, 1846. I was called on to go to work in the temple which I did. I assisted in the forenoon, afternoon and at night. I annointed some 70 persons. Twenty-six of us were called upon to go to the temple and be sealed to Brother Heber C. Kimball. The next Friday we were invited to go to Father Kimball's and we received some good instructions and enjoyed ourselves in a dance, also.
The next week we were to work in the temple and father Kimball called on me to go home and get my wife and also James Smith and wife to be
sealed to our wives. We did this. We were conducted into another department and received our Second Anointing. This was a source of knowledge to us and it was a great consolation that we were counted worthy before our Father in Heaven to receive that which we did receive.”   Joseph Hovey, Autobiography, BYU Special Collections, Writings of Early Latter-day Saints page 34

“The summer of 1845 I spent a portion of the time laboring on the Nauvoo temple and a portion for the support of my family. On the 23rd of December myself and wife Elizabeth received our washing and anointing in the temple, and on the 19th of January, 1846, we were sealed, agreeable to the order of the Holy Priesthood, for time and for all eternity. On the 22nd of January we received
our second (2nd,) anointing, on which day my father and mother also received theirs.   William Hyde, Autobiography, BYU Special Collections, Writings of Early Latter-day Saints page 16

“June 22, 1870, myself with my three wives Susan, Janet, and Margaret and my son James with two teams all started for Salt Lake City and arrived at the city on the second day of July. On the sixth day Susan and myself with my sister Esther M. Lebaron went to the Endowment House and were baptized and sealed for the following persons. (Names listed) Esther was also baptized for Julia and Survina Taft, both my cousins, and were both sealed to me. My wife Susan was baptized and sealed for Charlotte Fuller, Darney Lyman, Harriet Webster and Lucy Holms, all sealed to me.
July 7th. Myself and three wives all went to the Endowment House and received our second (2nd.) anointing under the hand of President Daniel H. Wells.
Sunday, __ 2nd, 1871. Myself being at St George at the house of my brother Joseph and most of the family being present, they requested me to give them a patriarchal blessing, or father's blessing, which I did. . . being 14 in number, the above blessings are recorded in Book No. 1, of the records of Patriarchal blessings under the hand of Joel H. Johnson.
Joel Hills Johnson, Autobiography
, BYU Special Collections, Writings of Early Latter-day Saints page 27

The Lord's house is a house of order, and all that is done in it must be done in proper and orderly fashion. Such words as ordain and ordinance, which are associated with the governing of the Church, are rooted in the word order. The holy order of God is the priesthood.
It is the priesthood received by the young elder, the priesthood associated with the new and everlasting covenant of marriage, and the,"
fulness of priesthood bestowed upon those ordained kings and priests of the Most High God.”
See Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith page 322

(Today in 2003 the Lord’s house is all out of order, and really messed up. God knew this would happen when he gave this revelation in 1833 to Joseph Smith that he had much work to do even after he would be killed.)
God said:
“And this shall be your business and mission in all your lives, to preside in council, and set in order all the affairs of this church and kingdom.”   Doctrine and Covenants 90: 16
Now some things are beginning to make some sense to you huh!   You realize that the church and the kingdom are two (2) different organizations huh! CLICK HERE

For I am called to speak after this manner, according to the
holy order of God, which is in Christ Jesus; yea, I am commanded to stand and testify unto this people the things which have been spoken by our fathers concerning the things which are to come.”
  Alma
5: 44

“Alma 5: 44 The theme of the verses that follow is that, of necessity, there must be authority that controls and governs the manner in which the gospel is taught. That system is announced anew in a modern revelation which declares that those "preaching the word" are to do so "saying none other things than that which the prophets and apostles have written, and that which is taught them by the Comforter through the prayer of faith" (D&C 52:9)  Volume 3: 40 of “Doctrinal Commentary on the Book of Mormon,” 4 vols. Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1987-1992,

(
In a nutshell, “When” a man is called to the “
Holy” order and becomes a king and a priest he is called to speak of the things which are to come. He becomes ordained of God, by God to be a prophet. That is why the LDS church has been without a real “God ordained” prophet since the Manifesto of 1890.    Just as Joseph Smith said, Ordained by “God.”)

Different Degrees of the Priesthood of Melchizedek
"Answer to the question, Was the Priesthood of Melchizedek taken away when Moses died? All Priesthood is Melchizedek, but there are different portions or degrees of it. That portion which brought Moses to speak with God face to face was taken away; but that which brought the ministry of angels remained. All the prophets had the Melchizedek Priesthood and were ordained by God himself."    Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith 180-181

(Now do you understand something that you didn’t before? That to be ordained by “God” is what makes a Prophet
warn and bless people.
That there are different degrees of priesthood. So if you don’t believe what has been said, what will happen? So as the Prophet Joseph tells us: “The moment we revolt at anything which comes from God, the devil takes power”   TPJS 181

“PATRIARCHAL ORDER TAKEN FROM ANCIENT ISRAEL.
When the children of Israel-the descendants of Jacob, grandson of Abraham-were in the wilderness, after their deliverance from Egypt, the Lord offered them, on conditions that they would serve him, the
fulness of this priesthood with all its blessings, and they would have become a nation of priests under this patriarchal order.”

“However, the children of Israel rebelled; they showed themselves unworthy of this great honor, and the Lord in his anger denied them this fulness of priesthood with all the rites that would prepare them for the exaltation in his presence. When Moses went up into the mount and remained 40 days, the Lord gave him two tables of stone on which were carved his holy commandments, with the promise to Israel of blessings, through their faithfulness, that would permit them "to enter into his rest."

“When Moses returned and found the people worshiping the golden calf, the God of the Egyptians, in his anger he threw down the tables and broke them. Then, later, at the command of the Lord, he went back into the mountain and received other tables, also written by the finger of God; but these did not contain the same commandments in all particulars that were on the first. The Lord had eliminated that which pertained to the higher blessings.”  “Doctrines of Salvation,” 3 vols., Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1954-1956, This quote Volume 3: 182

We can read a revelation given in 1833 that said: “All kingdoms have a law given;
37
And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in the which there is no kingdom; and there is no kingdom in which there is no space, either a greater or a lesser kingdom.
38 And unto every kingdom is given a law; and unto every law there are certain bounds also and conditions.
39 All beings who abide not in those conditions are not justified.”
     Doctrine and Covenants
88: 36-39    That says friend that you have nothing unless you obey the law for the place that you want to be. Amazing how many people will argue with a man who talks with God.

I can tell you that many people are very uncomfortable sitting down with men with several wives. Once I was eating in the cafeteria in the church office building when I was there doing some research and waiting to see Gordon B. Hinckley and the guards were polite but asked me to leave. They even followed me to the restroom, after which I went on up to see President Hinckley.

The Three Basic Roles of Fatherhood
Before man can be exalted in the
divine patriarchal order in eternity, he must be born into each of the basic stages of the divine plan of life, spirit life, physical life, and eternal life.  He must also acquire the power of fatherhood in each of these stages of life by giving or developing the respective endowments of life in others. Only those who attain the right and power to be fathers in all of these basic stages of life in the resurrection will be exalted within the divine patriarchal order.  (That’s very plain huh!)
They
will receive a fulness of priesthood and of glory and will be made in every essential way beings like the exalted Man of Holiness.”  Doctrines of the Kingdom  Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1973, page 408

“They are
they who are priests and kings, who have received of his fulness, and of his glory;
57 And are priests of the Most High, after the order of Melchizedek, which was after the order of Enoch, which was after the order of the Only Begotten Son.
58 Wherefore, as it is written, they are gods, even the sons of God
59 Wherefore, all things are theirs, whether life or death, or things present, or things to come, all are theirs and they are Christ's, and Christ is God's.    (IF you don’t believe CLICK HERE)
60 And they shall overcome all things.”      Doctrine and Covenants 76: 56- 60

Now use your brain with some common sense. IF the anointing to be kings and priests was to be after mortality, then why say “whether life or death,” …all are theirs.
“Here was a glorious concept of human dignity and of social arrangement—the ultimate doctrine of the destiny of man in the
divine patriarchal order. There would be no artificial hierarchy in Zion's perfected order. Instead, there would be a system of fathers and sons based upon the sources through which exalted individuals received the various endowments and attributes of life. Fathers were sources; sons were recipients. But as heirs in the divine family order under Zion's law, every son could receive the same fulness of priesthood and glory for his family that his father had for his family, with the right to build up a kingdom unto himself under Christ and the great patriarchs who held keys within the eternal family. This was the ultimate in justice and equality. The Prophet expressed the underlying principle of this great concept when he said: "God hath not revealed anything to Joseph, but what He will make known unto the Twelve, and even the least saint may know all things as fast as he is able to bear them."  TPJS 149    Doctrines of the Kingdom  Bookcraft, 1973, pages 565-566

“Priesthood is not indelible; it can be lost.
It is not infallible;
only under the influence of the Spirit can one speak for and with the approval of God. CLICK HERE see when the Mormon’s lost it.)

The opportunity for the fulness of priesthood blessings is conferred on both men and women when they make and keep unconditional covenants with Jesus Christ and then with each other as husband and wife (see Fatherhood; Motherhood).
Encyclopedia of Mormonism, 1-4 vols., edited by Daniel H. Ludlow (New York: Macmillan, 1992),  page 1342

In the past I have been thousand of miles from home talking on radio and TV, And had
a wife that could bless the Sacrament and bless the children with HER Priestsses’s hood and heal them. She was a Queen and a Priestess.  But the Mormons would rather try to include the blacks than have the women share the priesthood. So they lost everything. CLICK HERE to see that.

“The priesthood is everlasting. The Savior, Moses, and Elias gave the keys to Peter, James, and John on the mount, when they were transfigured before him.   Matthew 17:1-8  Men will set up stakes and say, "Thus far will we go, and no farther." . . . Did the Savior? No, we view him . . . on the mount transfigured before Peter and John, there receiving the
fulness of priesthood, or the law of God, setting up no stake but coming right up to the mark in all things.”   Joseph Smith's Commentary on the Bible Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1994, page 100

No Exaltation Without Fulness of Priesthood
“There is no exaltation in the kingdom of God without the fulness of Priesthood. How could a man be an heir in that kingdom without Priesthood? While the sisters do not hold the Priesthood, they share in the fulness of its blessings in the Celestial Kingdom with their husbands. These blessings are obtained through obedience to the ordinances and covenants of the House of the Lord. The Prophet Joseph Smith once said: "If a man gets a fulness of the Priesthood of God, he has to get it * * * by keeping all the commandments and obeying all the ordinances of the house of the Lord." To obtain the fulness of the Priesthood does not mean that a man must become President of the Church. Every man who is faithful and will receive these ordinances and blessings obtains a fulness of the Priesthood, and the Lord has said that "he makes them equal in power, and in might, and in dominion." Only one man at a time on the earth holds the keys of the Priesthood; only one man at a time has the power to receive revelations for the Church; but the Lord has made it possible for every man in this Church, through his obedience, to receive the fulness of the Priesthood through the ordinances of the Temple of the Lord. This cannot be received anywhere else.

“From him (Joseph Smith) I learned that the doctrine of plural and celestial marriage is the most holy and important doctrine ever revealed to man on earth, AND that without obedience to that principle no man can ever attain to the fulness of exaltation in celestial glory.”  February 16, 1874, William Clayton   Historical Record  6:226

In his sermon at the dedication at the Saint George Temple Brigham Young said: “Hear it ye elders of Israel AND mark it down in your log- book. The fulness of the Gospel IS the United Order AND Plural Marriage, AND I fear that when I am gone this people will give up these two principles which we prize so highly.” (He was a prophet huh! So are you angry at me for believing what a true prophet said?)

Brigham again: “The people generally would not have the revelations which the Lord delivered to Joseph Smith, unless he would give them a law of carnal commandments like that which he gave to the children of Israel.
Monogamy, or restrictions by law to one wife, is no part of the economy of Heaven among men. Such a system was commenced by the founders of the Roman empire.
Why do we believe in and practise polygamy? Because the Lord introduced it to his servants in a revelation given to Joseph Smith, and the Lord's servants have always practiced it.  "And is that religion popular in heaven?"  It is the only popular religion there, for this is the religion of Abraham, and, unless we do the works of Abraham, we are not Abraham's seed and heirs according to promise.”    Journal of Discourses  9: 322-323

He continues: “It is the word of the Lord, and I wish to say to you, and all the world, that if you desire with all your hearts to obtain the blessings which Abraham obtained, you will be polygamists at lest in your faith, or you will come short of enjoying the salvation and the glory which Abraham has obtained. This is as true as that God lives.”   JD 11:269

Again he said: “The only men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy. Others attain unto a glory and may even be permitted to come into the presence of the Father and the Son; but they cannot reign as kings in glory, because they had blessings offered unto them, and they refused to accept them.”        JD  11:269

“VERILY I say unto you, my friends, I give unto you counsel, and a commandment, concerning all the properties which belong to the order which I commanded to be organized and established, to be a united order, and an everlasting order for the benefit of my church, and for the salvation of men until I come—(Until I come! That should still exist huh!)

2 With promise immutable and unchangeable, that inasmuch as those whom I commanded were faithful they should be blessed with a multiplicity of blessings;
3 But inasmuch as they were not faithful they were nigh unto cursing.”  Doctrine and Covenants 104: 1-3  (So the curse is coming, huh.)  IF you want to live CLICK HERE
